An unexpected expat blogger behind Nelto Ravium

Hello, I am Mateo
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat based in Madrid, Spain.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new life chapter overseas.
How It All Began
Moving to Spain wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many relocation stories, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more tangled than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began to build something that felt steady.
Why I Built Nelto Ravium
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Spain.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Mateo
